Greece 2008

by | 11 Jan 2011

Remember, Remember 6th DecemberFollowing from Hara’s post yesterday, we thought it might be a good idea to refresh our minds of some of the thinking behind and beyond the Dec 2008 Greek protests. We are republishing the statement of the occupied Athens School of Economics and Business and the statement of those protestors that occupied the State TV channel. These are placed alongside a short piece, originally published in Black Swan and Naked Punch by Antonis Vradis which gives some context and analysis, and a follow-up by the members of Occupied London. These pieces are just one strand in what was a complex and often contradictory multitude, but it is worth remembering two years on, when such unrest is all around.
