‘The Dark Side of Magna Carta’, Conference Newcastle Law School, 24 July 2014

MCBA-logo-6An antidote to anodyne “celebrations” of the Great Charter’s 800th Anniversary, Newcastle Law School is holding a one-day conference to explore how Magna Carta’s legacy has been invoked in support of a range of contestable historical and contemporary constitutional developments. Speakers Include Dimitry Kochenov (Groningen University), TT Arvind (Newcastle University), Henry Jones (Durham University), Colin Murray (Newcastle University), Se-shauna Wheatle (Durham University) and Suryapratim Roy (Groningen University).
