We are delighted to invite you to Paul Scholten Centre for Jurisprudence Colloquium on States of Exception, (link) taking place on Friday, 4 April 2025, at 10:00 AM at Roeterseiland Campus, Amsterdam Law School (Room A3.15)
This colloquium will feature a keynote lecture by Costas Douzinas, the leading thinker in legal philosophy and critical theory. In addition, a panel discussion will bring together Leila Faghfouri Azar and Hans Lindahl, who will share their research and insights on pressing questions in critical jurisprudence, contemporary states of exception and the question of migration in Europe. The event will be hosted by Jacob Giltaij and moderated by Yolande Jansen.
The colloquium promises to be an enriching occasion for scholars, students, and anyone interested in contemporary debates in critical legal and political thought. Whether you choose to join us in person or online, we welcome you to take part in this dynamic conversation.
