Our next seminar in our series with the Warwick Centre for Critical Legal Studies, we are excited to have a paper from Julia Dehm of La Trobe University in Melbourne. Her research focuses on issues of law and climate change: international climate change law and regulation; transnational carbon markets; and natural resource governance. She also investigates how human rights are connected with the environment and economic inequality.

“The subject of inequality addressed by the speaker pertains to what we call ‘vertical inequality’. However, there is also a type of inequality known as ‘horizontal inequality’, which is more dangerous than vertical inequality in terms of the emergence of polarizations and conflicts within societies. I wanted to point this out.”
